1. What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. This allows time for our housekeeping team to prepare the cottage for incoming guests.
2. Is there parking available?
Yes, there is free private parking available on the property for up to three vehicles.
3. Are pets allowed?
Yes, small dogs are allowed in the property but only on the ground floors.
4. Is the cottage child-friendly?
Yes, Well Cottage is suitable for children. A high chair and travel cot are available on request, though please bring your own cot bedding.
5. Is there Wi-Fi at the property?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage, and in the garden.
6. Is the kitchen fully equipped?
Absolutely. The kitchen includes an Aga cooker, with hob/oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, micro-oven, kettle, toaster, and a full range of cookware, utensils, and crockery.
7. Are linens and towels provided?
Yes, bed linens and towels are provided, along with hand towels, bath mats, and tea towels.
8. Is there a washing machine or dryer?
Yes, there is a washing machine and clothes horse available for guest use.
9. What is your cancellation policy?
Please refer to the cancellation policy on your preferred booking platform.
10. How many guests can the cottage accommodate?
The cottage sleeps up to 7 guests in 4 bedrooms (including one single room).
11. Is the cottage accessible for those with limited mobility?
Due to the age and layout of the cottage, including uneven floors and steps, it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
12. Are there local amenities nearby?
Yes, the nearest village pub, shop, and walking routes are within a short drive or walk. A full guide is on our Visit section.
13. Is there outdoor space?
Yes, there is a peaceful private garden with seating and a BBQ, perfect for warmer months.
14. How is the cottage heated?
The cottage is heated via oil filled radiators, with the Aga providing additional warmth and character in the kitchen. There are also two working inglenook fireplaces for cosy evenings (logs provided).
15. Do you offer early check-in or late check-out?
We try to accommodate special requests when possible, but this depends on other bookings. Please ask in advance.
